Why not enter our competition- in association with The Quorndon Village Life – to write a short story?
Your story will be displayed in the Library & if selected, could be published in one of the next issues of The Quorndon Village Life!
After the close of the competition, you could Win £50 cash prize, kindly donated by TQVL, which will be awarded to one author in each of the following age groups:
up to 11 years
12-17 years
18 years & over
So far, we’ve had no entries from our youngest age group, so we’ve changed a rule!
From now, those under 12 years old can submit a story of between 200-250 words. We’ll publish one or maybe two until the end of the competition. The prize money for the winner will be £25. However, under 12’s can still send us a 500 word story & remain eligible for the £50 prize.

Why not come along to a craft session from 10:30am to 12:30pm on Saturday 2nd, 9th or 16th December to help us decorate the library for Christmas? It’s free to attend, materials are provided and you can take your creations home.
