Increased Reopening Hours (17th May 2021)

We are delighted to update you that we are to increase our opening hours to the public on Monday 17th May. (Subject to Government Guidelines)

Our new temporary reduced opening hours are as follows:

Monday 2pm-5pm

Wednesday 10am-12 noon & 3pm-5pm

Friday 11am-1pm

(Wriggly Readers 10am-11am)

Saturday 10am-3pm

We are still using the door near the Parish Office entrance.  The door from the cafe to the library will not be in use. For everyone’s safety, we will be limiting the number of customers into the library.

There will be 1 Customer PC will be available for use.

Wriggly Readers with our amazing volunteers will continue outside, weather permitting, in the secure area behind the Tea Room.  Please bring a picnic blanket & your own toys as ours are still in quarantine. Chairs for adults will be provided.

Should we have inclement weather, it will be held in the library. We will be able to have a maximum of 13 adults (including any children over 5).

The cost of this attendance is £1 per child.

Adult to choose children’s books to limit handling

Wriggly Readers will also restart Friday 16th April with our fantastic volunteers.  We will be able to have a maximum of 13 adults (including any children over 5). We are initially looking to run this outside, in the secure area behind the cafe, weather permitting.  Please bring a picnic blanket & your own toys as ours are still in quarantine. Chairs for adults will be provided. Should we have inclement weather, we will use the Community Room next to the cafe. The cost of this attendance is £1 per child.

Current services

The library is currently closed until further notice for browsing, until Government COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, however, we are still offering our Home Delivery Service, to deliver books to those who are elderly or are isolating.  If you, or someone you know, would like to use this service, just call us on 01509 414633 and leave a message.  We will call you back for more information.


Starting Monday 11th January, we are excited to offer our new Click & Collect service, which is open to everyone.  All you need to do is email us on quornquills@gmail.com, giving your name, library card number, phone number and book genre(s) you would like.  Alternatively, telephone us on 01509 414633 & leave a message and we will call you back for more information.  


Books should be requested by Friday 3pm to be collected/delivered the following Monday between 10am-12 noon.
